- 1969Our first store opens in Dublin, trading as Penneys
- 1974Our first Primark store in England opens in Derby
- 2006We open our first store outside of the UK and Ireland in Madrid, Spain
- 2013We launch Primark’s Sustainable Cotton Programme, now the largest of its kind in the industry
- 2015We cross the Atlantic and open our doors in the US in Boston, still our US headquarters today
- 2019The world’s biggest Primark opens in Birmingham, UK
- 2021We publish our first wide-reaching sustainability strategy - Primark Cares
- 2023We continue our expansion, with plans to enter the new market of Hungary

How can the employees affect the company’s life?
At Primark, we value open communication, which is why we regularly conduct an anonymous job satisfaction survey. This serves as a starting point for us to learn what we should change or improve. Additionally, every new team member has a conversation with their Manager after first weeks of work. The goal is to understand your initial impressions and provide mutual feedback on collaboration.
