How can you make a difference?
This is a batch vacancy announcement for multiple upcoming People & Culture Assistant GS-5 level positions. The recommended candidates will be considered for fixed-term and temporary posts as needed, in sections such as People Administration – Onboarding, Benefits & Entitlements, Recruitment Administrative Services, as well as Payroll & Offboarding. They may also be placed in the talent group for direct appointments at later stage.
The People & Culture Assistant manages complex administrative and transactional tasks to the efficient implementation of a broad range of Human Resources (HR) functions for all categories of staff in the office, ensuring accurate and timely delivery that is in compliance with UN, UNICEF HR and financial and recruitment rules and regulations.

What will you learn
The new colleague will gain hands-on experience in global HR operations within an international organization, covering areas such as onboarding, payroll, recruitment administration, offboarding, HR case management, and service delivery. They will strengthen their skills in stakeholder communication, process coordination, data accuracy, problem-solving, and working in a multicultural environment.
The role also provides exposure to enterprise HR systems, digital workflows, reporting tools, and shared service center operations, helping colleagues build strong operational and analytical capabilities that are highly transferable across the private and public sectors.

1 year of recruitment experience enables the colleague to quickly understand hiring processes, candidate communication, and recruitment coordination in a fast-paced international environment.
Spanish B2 knowledge is a strong advantage when supporting Spanish-speaking candidates, colleagues, and stakeholders globally, while also contributing to more effective and inclusive communication across regions.
